Jennifer Zawid serves as a Vice President at LCR Capital Partners and assists the firm in legal and compliance matters, governmental affairs, and business development. Prior to joining LCR, Jennifer was associated with Fort Partners, where she worked on real estate acquisitions and legal matters.
From 2002 to 2014, Jennifer served as a faculty member at the University of Miami School of Law, where she directed the law school’s externship program and taught related courses in legal skills, transactional skills, advanced mediation, and other alternative dispute resolution topics. During her tenure with the university, she was instrumental in creating an innovative and highly-regarded cross- border international family mediation program. In this capacity, she was honored to be chosen to represent the United States at the Hague as part of a delegation of mediation experts that authored best practice for the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
Earlier in her career, Jennifer served as a Senior Enforcement Attorney with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as a Staff Attorney with the United States Department of Justice/Civil Division/Office of Immigration Litigation as part of the very selective Attorney Generals Honors Program. Thus, Jennifer’s significant legal background in international law, securities law, immigration law and real estate development, provide her with highly specialized and sophisticated insight into the entire EB-5 process.
Jennifer attended the Honor’s Program at the University of Wisconsin/Madison, where she earned a BA in History and Women’s Studies. She received her JD from the University of Miami School of Law on a full-tuition merit scholarship. Most recently, she earned an LLM in Real Estate Development. Jennifer is based in both Miami and San Juan and has three children.
