INTERNSHIPS

The LCR Internship Program

LCR offers unique part-time school year and full-time summer internship programs to exceptional college students. As an intern at LCR, you will work at one of our six global offices and have the opportunity to engage personally with firm partners and the management team to aid in a variety of projects, which may include finance, marketing, information technology, political policy, and international relations. Interns work in a collaborative environment with other highly qualified college students and LCR personnel who have been employed by some of the world’s top financial and consulting firms. Historically, interns who demonstrate exceptional performance have been offered positions as full-time employees.

"I’ve had the pleasure of working as an intern at LCR for a few months now and it has been a great experience. I’ve had the opportunity to work on various different projects that have challenged me and made me feel like I have had an impact on the company.

One of my first major tasks was working to revamp LCR’s social media and come up with content and a plan to be implemented. Since it was part of LCR’s Digital Marketing campaign, I was able to collaborate with other interns who were working on other aspects of digital marketing, such as the website. This ongoing project has allowed me to be creative and help with LCR’s marketing efforts.

Many of my other projects involve research. Research projects expand into various areas of the business, which can be used for marketing, finance, etc. One project I worked on involved gathering data on default rates for commercial real estate loans. The data I provided will be used in an upcoming brochure. Here at LCR, I am learning new things everyday and truly feel like I am a valuable member of the team."

I have always had broad interests, and interning at LCR has given me a chance to develop skills that are critical to a variety of different types of work.

"As a sophomore in college, I have always had broad interests, and interning at LCR has given me a chance to develop skills that are critical to a variety of different types of work. LCR is a private investment firm, but the culture and demands of the LCR workplace are distinct from those of a typical asset management firm. We work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment that has challenged me to be adaptable, analytical, and creative. I have been given a great deal of autonomy and responsibility in my work here, and some of my specific projects have included aggregating industry research that was presented to United States Senators, search engine optimization, analyzing investor relations techniques, and statistical analysis. Currently, I am working on investigating potential M&A for the firm.

My experience here has been invaluable. The management team is made up of people who are not only extremely qualified, but valuable mentors who have helped me to navigate my career path and interests. I have had exposure to a variety of fields of work and developed skills that will help me to excel in all of them."
