Not to be confused with the nonimmigrant visa, an immigrant visa entitles a foreign-born visitor to enter or legally stay in the US as a permanent resident. EB-5 investors while living abroad will get an immigrant visa once they get consular approval (based on the I-526 form). These visas allow immigrants to go to the US.
