Hypothetical Project

This is a term used by USCIS to describe Form I-924 regional center application that doesn’t actually include a business plan with the application. The USCIS will examine the project documentation during the Form I-526 immigrant investor application stage. This makes the I-526 application more complex and time-consuming. The plus side is that applications for regional center designation that are considered hypothetical projects require less initial documentation and are easier to get initial approval.
