To study and stay in the US, students must obtain a visa that allows them to legally fulfill this purpose; generally, students apply for the F-1 visa, however, this visa presents some challenges for students, such as: being subject to paying higher tuition compared to designated permanent resident rates, preventing them from working off campus during the first academic year, and subsequently limiting the amount of hours they can work off campus.
There is an alternative that can help students expand their study and employment opportunities and, on many occasions, is barely considered. We refer to the E-B5 Visa. With this visa the students obtain a permanent residence, which increases the acceptance rate to the universities of their choice, in addition, they could obtain discounts on the payment of in-state tuition. Likewise, when they are already in the labor stage, they will not require the employer company to sponsor a non-immigrant visa, among other advantages and benefits.
