Brazilians are increasingly seeking to invest and establish businesses in the United States. In 2023, Brazil ranked seventh globally in obtaining US Green Cards through the EB-5 Visa Program, with a 30% increase in visa issued compared to the previous year, according to data from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Marcelo Gorenstein, director of LCR Capital Partners in Brazil and Latin America, notes that mid-sized family businesses in Brazil are increasingly appointing legal representatives or selling stakes to pursue business opportunities in the US, reflecting a significant rise in Brazilian investment abroad.
