This founder keeps a wine fridge in his home office, stays productive despite distractions in WFH mode

In this personal profile, Suresh Rajan of LCR Capital Partners reveals a philosophical attitude toward working from home during the pandemic.

He recognizes that he is lucky enough to work at home, unlike many others. He is also comfortable doing so, since he has plenty of experience—in fact, he wrote LCR’s original business plan at home. (And it doesn’t hurt that he has a wine fridge.)

Another perk is that he spends a lot more time with his children, who are attending school from home, although things get a bit noisy. Rajan notes that being adaptable to change—and aware of one’s options—is the ideal way to face major upheavals like a global pandemic.

EB-5 Program Update:

The EB-5 Program has lapsed. The US Congress is discussing the legislation that authorizes the program while USCIS reviews the regulations and policies for filing. Because of the recent court ruling that reversed the 2019 Modernization regulations, the investment level has shifted temporarily from $900,000 back to $500,000.

If the program is reauthorized before the regulations are updated, there may be another window of opportunity to file at $500,000.

LCR expects the program to be reauthorized in February 2022, and continues to work with international families that want to explore alternative residency options.
