Immigration industry professionals are pronouncing the death of the H-1B visa. Some call it politically unpopular among American politicians of all stripes, whereas others say the program is rife with abuse and misuse, with a lottery system that is arbitrary and otherwise less than ideal.
An alternative for recent international graduates of US universities is the EB-5 investor visa program, the cost of which, Suresh Rajan, founder and executive of LCR Capital Partners, estimates is equivalent to another year of tuition for interested families.
