EB-5 Program Extended until September 30, 2019

Last Friday, President Trump signed the “Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2019”, which funds the federal government and extends the EB-5 Regional Center Program’s authorization. The President signed a seven-month extension that will extend the EB-5 Program through September 30th, 2019.

New decisions on the EB-5 Program may be announced in the coming months, but this 7-month temporary extension allows the EB-5 Program to continue with the existing rules until September 30, 2019. It is possible that the US Congress could resume its past efforts to approve a permanent extension of the EB-5 Program before this date, including long discussed changes to the Program.

LCR executives are actively monitoring the reauthorization of the EB-5 Program, which over the years has created thousands of jobs in the United States as well as foreign direct investment in the country.

The LCR Capital team will release guidelines and new information as soon as it becomes available. LCR Capital looks forward to ensure a long and sustainable future for the EB-5 Regional Center Program through its EB-5 Projects.
