How Covid-19 has changed global work culture — for the better, in some ways

Remote work due to the pandemic has accelerated digital transformation across companies and changed how companies operate. Employees who once feared automation are finding themselves pleasantly surprised at how a wide variety of digital tools—from messaging to file-sharing to conferencing and more—are making work faster and more productive.

These tools are no longer just convenient adjuncts to work but now are becoming the avenues through which work is done. And evidence suggests that more employees than ever are considering remote work.

Sherman Baldwin, CEO of LCR Capital Partners, advises companies to recognize that COVID has taught us that work can be performed and delivered anywhere rather than just in the physical office.

EB-5 Program Update:

The EB-5 Program has lapsed. The US Congress is discussing the legislation that authorizes the program while USCIS reviews the regulations and policies for filing. Because of the recent court ruling that reversed the 2019 Modernization regulations, the investment level has shifted temporarily from $900,000 back to $500,000.

If the program is reauthorized before the regulations are updated, there may be another window of opportunity to file at $500,000.

LCR expects the program to be reauthorized in February 2022, and continues to work with international families that want to explore alternative residency options.
